In 1953, Wild Harbor Yacht Club was organized by several North Falmouth families to bring the sport of sailing to Wild Harbor, where sailing had existed prior to World War II. On February 15, 1954 Wild Harbor Yacht Club was incorporated by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. During the same year the club joined the Southern Massachusetts Yacht Racing Association (now known as Southern Massachusetts Sailing Association), the North American Yacht Racing Union (now known as the United States Sailing Association), and the New England Beetle Cat Boat Association.
Wild Harbor Yacht Club serves North Falmouth neighborhoods with a focus on youth sailing, from introductory classes for children as young as 7 years old, to active race teams for children up to 18 years old.
